The city of Granada hosts a new edition of the Tango Festival, dedicated to this style of dance, which is popular all around the world. The year of its inception (1988), it indeed became a pioneer in Europe for the «Tango Festival» project. Dates from March 13, 2012 to March 18, 2012.
The Granada International Jazz Festival is one of Europe’s longest-running, and is a Spanish member of the Europe Jazz Network, which organises jazz festivals in Europe.
Granada’s annual International Festival of Young Filmmakers, focuses on short films. This festival is held at different venues around the city such as Isabel la Católica Theatre, the Condes de Gabia Palace and the Val del Omar Room at the Andalusia Film Centre. In 2012 the event celebrates its 19th anniversary.
Each year the city of Granada hosts this festival focusing on the audiovisual production from countries in the south and with shores bathed by the Mediterranean Sea.
